Girl Rights Event at Gyan Kalash International School

Smart Education and Welfare Association (SEWA) and Parvez Sagar Foundation (PSF)  India the partners in India of Asian Girl Campaign apprised girl students of Gyan Kalash International School of their rights. The organizations, working incessantly for the last 6 years in the field of women’s and children’s rights, implored the parents to pay attention to the proper moral education and upbringing of their girl child to ensure their better future.

The program, organized at Gyan Kalash International School, Ambala Road, inaugurated by Commissioner Sre Division Mr. Tanveer Zafar Ali, IAS as chief guest. Mr. Ali Said “We should know about our social values. If we know and follow our Indian social values, then crime against women will be less. ” senior IAS Mr. TZ Ali appreciates efforts of SEWA & PSF India. He congratulate to Mr. Parvez Sagar for his social work.

The Education icon of west UP Dr. YK Gupta stressed the need for education and safe environs for children and women since these things are their fundamental rights. She referred to the efforts being made by SEWA and PSF for the education of children whose parents don’t have the means for providing education to their children. She implored the parents to send the children to schools.

Parvez Sagar, well known TV News personality and founder of SEWA & PSF India, expressed his disgust that violence against women was continuing in till date despite great efforts by various organisations and law against it. He said that violence against women is serious issue that has been taken by our organisation. He told the gathering that SEWA and PSF have undertaken a massive drive “Chuppi Tod, Halla Bol” to bring awareness in various districts of U.P. to sensitize people about the rights of women under which large scale events have been organised in Agra, Lucknow and Barabanki and now it was the turn of Uttrakhand along with Ferozabad, Mathura and Unnao.

PCS officer Swati Jain said that crimes against women and children within the four walls of houses are far more than outside. She also told the audience about the danger of smuggling of children outside country for various criminal intents.

Archana Yadav, a scribe and ambassador of girl’s rights called upon the audience to come out of their archaic thinking which states that girls won’t be safe outside the boundary of their house.


On this occasion, M. Tanveer (Monu) the coordinator of SEWA & PSF thanked to Mr. Commissioner, Management of Gyan kalash international School, Students and all volunteers for their cooperation. Principal DM Rawat, Teachers Mrs. Santosh, Mrs. Saba Mutaza, Tarun Kumar, Suraiya Maalik, Rukaiya, Khushbu were spotted. The program was conducted by Mrs. Santosh & Mr. Rawat.
